Grieve no more! Get up and Get going, You still have 2 months left. Here's a list of opportunities for those whose businesses has been vandalized.

Hey,

How have you been? Truly how have you been?

It has been one theatrical performance upon another in my country Nigeria over the past 2.5 weeks and it got a bit too much for me and I literally shut down. My condolences go out to everyone who lost someone in the struggle for a better Nigeria – may the souls of the departed rest in peace AMEN.

I know business has slowed down or even shut down for a couple of us.

While some have it better I know some others have it worse – with their entire goods carted away. I am here to tell you that it is time to get going.

Grieve as much as you want, take your time to get back into things but you need to get back into your business soon and get going. In times of hopelessness, it is easy to not see any good in what you still have while we mule over what is lost. But you still have your business in whatever shape it is and you need to get it going.

There are 2 months left before we exit 2020. What strategies can you create to finish strong? How do you connect with your old, current, and prospective customers? These should be the questions you place on the table now.

So let's get started.

Product: What products will you be pushing most for the rest of the year? What product or service will you be creating for the upcoming celebrations? i.e Is your product Christmas related? Then what are you creating for christmas this year?

Promotion: Black Friday is coming, Thanksgiving is coming, Cyber Monday is coming, Christmas is coming. What promotion plans will you be creating for these upcoming celebrations?

Sales channels: What channels will you be focusing on to sell your products? Or which new channels will you be including?

Let me list a few

  1. Direct to customer - Social media (FB, IG, Linkedin, twitter, whatsapp etc)
  2. Resellers: Wholesale channel, Retail channel, Drop shippers, Modern Trade, Affiliates etc
  3. Website channel
  4. E-commerce platforms
  5. Salesforce
  6. Paid Search
  7. E-mail marketing
  8. Trade shows
  9. Export etc

Each channel serves a different purpose and has different rules, which will you be including in your marketing plan?

So you see why I titled this email you need to get UP and get going.

Finally, I have also put together a list of organizations or individuals offering grants for people whose businesses were vandalized during the attacks. Please see below and share it with your friends who may need it.
